SUPERPOWER SUMMARY
One of the greatest professional joys and accomplishments of my life is to have been an educator for 40 years. My focus has always been on young children from birth to 8 years old. There is nothing that excites a teacher more than to see children excited to learn and grow and to watch that amazing learning process. During those 40 years, I was a classroom teacher for 23 years, an Early Childhood Coordinator for 5 years, a school administrator for 5 years, and a Supervisor of Elementary Education for 7 years. It is my firm belief that a teacher is a mentor and role model for her students supporting them each day to be the best they can be. Educating the whole child is my core belief. Children have physical, cognitive, social, and emotional areas in which they grow and develop. With care and education, they will know that they are respected capable, connected, and contributing members to society and our world. I volunteer for Mentors Who Move as they collaborate with the Daily Mile with the goal of supporting children in their journey toward happy and healthy adulthood.
