What is The Daily Mile?

The Daily Mile is a life-changing opportunity for children and the adults who lead them. It is a solution to healthier, happier, more engaged kids! The Daily Mile is a whole-child movement that takes kids outdoors to run, jog, roll or walk for 15-minutes each day. But it’s so much more than that. Created by an elementary school principal and her students, it is proven, effective, and sustainable. The Daily Mile is free for your youth group … forever.

Youth groups and clubs are welcome to join The Daily Mile movement! This includes (but is not limited to) organizations such as Boy/Girl Scout Troops, YMCA clubs, Big Brother/Big Sister, faith-based clubs, and more. By doing The Daily Mile three times a week, kids build confidence, improve their mood, and deepen their friendships. Watch this to learn more!

How do I start The Daily Mile in my youth group or club?

Here’s why your youth group should join the movement  …

Youth group leaders experience fewer interruptions as kids return from The Daily Mile more focused and eager to participate.

Kids improve their social-emotional well-being. They improve their ability to manage emotions, set & meet goals, foster positive relationships, and make good decisions.

Group morale increases as leaders connect with kids and build positive relationships.

Youth group leaders are empowered as they get to decide when their group does The Daily Mile.
