Upon the release of the latest figures portraying the district’s childhood, the Shirley Manor Academy want to ensure their children eat well and grow up understanding the importance of a healthy diet and lifestyle – However, the school’s decision to ‘police’ children’s packed lunches, through the introduction of a new food banning policy, has sparked a heated debate.
Bradford Council is urging primary and nursery schools across the district to join The Daily Mile scheme, in a bid to improve pupil’s health and academic performance by walking or running for fifteen minutes per day.
